    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>\n <div>\n  <div>\n   <div>\n    <div>\n     <div>\n      <p>Tektronix is seeking a Software Engineering Co-op (Oscilloscope Platform) to join our platform team for a<strong> 6-month MECOP term in 2026</strong>. In this role, you’ll help build and validate next-generation oscilloscope capabilities—from Qt-based UI experiences to high-performance embedded processing. You’ll collaborate with experienced hardware and software engineers in an environment that emphasizes hands-on learning, mentorship, and technical growth.</p>\n      <p>You will be paired with a dedicated engineering mentor and contribute to real product development work, including prototyping, performance evaluation, test automation, and instrument validation.</p>\n      <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>\n      <ul>\n       <li>Support software development and validation for next-generation oscilloscope and test &amp; measurement platforms</li>\n       <li>Investigate technical risk areas, run performance experiments, and share results that inform architecture decisions</li>\n       <li>Prototype and implement algorithms or platform enhancements; validate solutions on real instruments</li>\n       <li>Develop test plans, automate workflows, and strengthen CI dashboards/regression health</li>\n       <li>Collaborate across disciplines to bridge firmware, UI, and system performance</li>\n       <li>Contribute to a scoped co-op project and present results at the end of the term to engineering stakeholders</li>\n      </ul>\n      <p><strong>Learning &amp; Development</strong></p>\n      <ul>\n       <li>During the term, you will gain experience in:</li>\n       <li>Product software lifecycle (requirements → design → implementation → verification → release)</li>\n       <li>Embedded and instrument-focused debugging and performance profiling</li>\n       <li>Test strategy development, automation practices, and CI/CD workflows</li>\n       <li>Effective technical communication (documentation, presentations, design reviews)</li>\n       <li>Working within a cross-functional engineering environment</li>\n      </ul>\n      <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n      <ul>\n       <li>Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Engineering (preferred), Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science and eligible/accepted for the MECOP program (2026)</li>\n       <li>Strong C/C++ fundamentals (OOP, memory management, multithreading concepts)</li>\n       <li>Comfort working hands-on with real instruments/hardware and following safe lab practices</li>\n       <li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li>\n       <li>Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly (written and verbal)</li>\n      </ul>\n      <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n      <ul>\n       <li>Exposure to Qt/QML</li>\n       <li>Embedded/firmware development exposure on Linux and/or Windows</li>\n       <li>Experience with scripting or test automation (Python, JavaScript)</li>\n       <li>Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and tools such as Jira, Git (Bitbucket/GitHub), Jenkins</li>\n       <li>Interest in oscilloscopes and test &amp; measurement technologies</li>\n      </ul>\n      <p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p>\n      <ul>\n       <li>Candidates must be able to work full-time for the full 6-month MECOP term (2026).</li>\n      </ul>\n     </div>\n    </div>\n   </div>\n  </div>\n </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n &nbsp;\n</div>",
