Apply today and build your career with Prairie Farms Dairy.</p><p><br></p><p>2nd shift hours: 2 PM-10 PM (will be discussed in interview); Monday - Friday <u><strong>(<em>some mandatory Saturdays depending on business needs).</em></strong></u></p><p><br></p><p>Hourly Rate: $17.17/hr + $1/hr shift premium when working hours 2 PM-10 PM.</p><p><strong>General Purpose</strong>: &nbsp;To test and ensure proper standards for all products to meet company, state and federal guidelines.</p><p><strong>Positions Responsibilities</strong>: &nbsp;</p><ul><li>Checking Good Manufacturing Practices procedures</li><li>Microbiological Testing</li><li>Weights and Volume Evaluations</li><li>Organoleptic Evaluations (flavor, texture and color testing)&nbsp;</li><li>Checking Titration, pH, Brix, Fats, Solids and additional testing as required</li><li>Checking Metal Detector&nbsp;</li><li>Inspect product for Proper Labeling and Code Dates&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties assigned by supervisor&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Skills and experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Average math, writing and reading skills</li><li>Strong team player</li><li>Strong computer knowledge; preferably fluent in Microsoft</li><li>Ability to communicate with Quality Assurance and plant personnel on any QA issues &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work overtime and weekends&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to multitask with positive results</li><li>Previous food safety experience</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Nonessential Skills</strong>:</p><p>Some laboratory experience is preferred. There is a 90-day probationary period.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Work Environment</strong>:</p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a team group setting and must be able to work with several people at a time. &nbsp;The employee must be willing to work in the freezer for up to one hour at a time (-20&ordm;). &nbsp;The noise level in the work environment can be extremely loud. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to work standing for long periods of time. Must be able to climb stairs multiple times a day and stoop, kneel, reach, lift repetitively. This job requires being able to lift approximately 45 lbs and carrying it 50 feet. &nbsp;Hands may be washed more than 10 times a day. &nbsp; Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. &nbsp;Due to data entry requirements, the employee must have manual dexterity for repetitive keystrokes.
