          "text": "<p>GDMS-C is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our TacNET team working to support the Land Command Support System (LCSS). The Land Command Support System (LCSS) is the system of systems that primarily supports the Canadian Army in operations by providing commanders with the information services required to make effective and timely command and control decisions about their forces. It is an interconnected network of digital communications and information systems by which the data needed to plan, direct and control tactical and operations is communicated, stored, processed and displayed. You will work side‑by‑side with software, network, and hardware engineers in an Agile environment while ensuring that the system remains secure, reliable, and future‑proof.&#xa0;</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Log, triage and track System problem Reports (SPRs), work with engineering team(s) to reproduce issue, capture resolution steps and close SPRs</li><li>Support software verification and integration engineering activities, run system‑level test suites, and formally document test results, and analysis. Review and update system design documents, use-cases and procedures</li><li>Participate in team document reviews and provide feedback</li><li>Follow the defined product-delivery process and ensure compliance with security and configuration management standards</li><li>Evaluate current software and determine obsolescence risks and potential upgrade paths</li><li>Devise and implement correction actions in the software test environment in Linux, Windows, Virtual Machines</li><li>Use requirements, configuration management and test management tools (e.g., JIRA/Confluence, Ansible, Python Scripts)</li><li>Engineer and optimize IP network systems, including development of diagnostic methodologies, design of VLAN architectures, and validation frameworks for Cisco Systems network devices and VoIP platforms to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability</li></ul>",

          "text": "<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Applied Science or related technical/scientific diploma.</li><li>Hands on experience (co-op, internship or entry-level role) with:<ul><li>Linux (Ubuntu or RedHat) and Windows Server/Desktop environments</li><li>Basic scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation or data processing</li><li>Documenting test results and presenting findings to technical audience</li></ul></li><li>Strong written and oral communications skills</li><li>Ability to work effectively in collaborative, fast-moving Agile team</li><li>Demonstrated leadership on a small academic or work project</li><li>Strong interest in networked computer systems and desire to grow in this field</li><li>Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.</li></ul><p>Additional Assets:</p><ul><li>Familiar with Scrum or SAFe Framework and ceremonies</li><li>Exposure to defence industry or DND/CAF environments, especially LCSS/LC4ISR communication systems</li><li>Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Python</li><li>Basic Cisco VOIP knowledge and general IP networking concepts</li><li>Understanding of hypervisors/virtual environments and ability to create/maintain VMs</li><li>Experience with test and build automation</li><li>Familiarity with system engineering processes and documentation standards</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell</li></ul><p>It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed.
