    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>About Ocean Steel and Construction Limited</strong></p><p>Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel has grown to become one of the largest steel fabricators in Eastern Canada and one of the most respected steel suppliers on the Eastern Seaboard. It services several markets, including all of Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Ocean designs, fabricates and erects structural steel for buildings and bridges. It also manufactures and installs platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process &amp; storage tanks and custom process-equipment. Ocean&nbsp;Steel has two, modern New Brunswick-based plants in Saint John and in Fredericton. We currently have sales offices in Saint John, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Burlington, Massachusetts.</p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>Ocean Steel Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Detailer with a desire&nbsp;to continue&nbsp;learning on the job. The&nbsp;Detailer will&nbsp;develop extensive&nbsp;steel&nbsp;product knowledge&nbsp;and follow department procedures for preparation of drawings, and bills of material. This position&nbsp;requires high attention to detail, to&nbsp;analyze&nbsp;schedules, specifications, architectural, structural, and steel fabricator drawings. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working within&nbsp;rigid time constraints, and can interact with&nbsp;Ocean Steel’s Engineers, Project Managers, Salespeople,&nbsp;Estimators, Production Supervisors, and Field Erectors.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Detailing structural steel using SDS2 software by Allplan</li><li>Accurately producing drawings to meet contract specifications</li><li>Effectively utilizing detailing software to produce quality drawings</li><li>Thoroughly cross-checking architectural &amp; structural contract drawings for conflicts and checking connection access for erection</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Technical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Civil Engineering Technology graduate or previous experience in the construction industry along with the ability to read blueprints</li><li>Experience with architectural drafting or detailing software</li><li>Previous experience in the construction industry is an asset</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Business Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>High attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Cultural Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>As a member of the OSCO Construction Group,&nbsp;Ocean Steel offers&nbsp;a comprehensive compensation package including health and dental coverage, life insurance, RRSP and tax-free savings account options.
