Description
What we offer
Opportunity to work on a new solution from scratch in a technical complex environment Work in an international, agile, cross-functional team creating the future of autonomous systems Grow your career in a expanding and ambitious engineering team Build innovative products using state-of-the-art technologies in AI, robotics, and autonomy Benefit from a steep learning curve and continuous development Enjoy team events and a strong, collaborative culture
Your mission
Build real autonomous systems that operate in the real world, not in the lab.
Join our engineering team of a new product and help build the core autonomy that powers our next generation robotic systems used for defense and mission-critical operations. You will design, implement, and harden robotic software that must perform under real operational conditions - outdoors, under uncertainty, with real consequences. Your work will directly shape the reliability, safety, and tactical capability of the systems we deliver. You will contribute to the development and integration of core robotic capabilities, including: Design and develop embedded software in C++ under ROS2 for motion control systems in robotic weapon stations Work on multi-layer software architecture, from hardware abstraction to application level Implement and optimize real-time motion control capabilities in all directions Develop solutions for stabilization the system while moving and handle impacts like vibrations Integrate and control additional components like sensors, cameras, triggering systems via APIs Design target-following features taking safety constrains in account Realize the continious determination of the own position of the system Designing the User Interface ensuring reliable communication and performance Contribute to system integration, testing, and calibration (motion + shooting validation) Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electronics, system engineering)
Your profile
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of industrial robotics Strong experience in embedded software engineering with C++ and ROS2 Solid background in motion control systems Experience working close to differnet hardware components (motors, sensors, actuators) Knowledge of real-time systems and low-level programming Experience with system integration and hardware debugging Familiarity with safety-critical systems Teamplayer with agile and collaborative mindset Thirst for learning
Nice to have
Basic knowledge of ballistics, physics, or trajectory calculation Familiarity with firing control systems, including safety mechanisms and rules of engagement Experience with API design Knowledge of middleware and distributed system architectures Experience with camera systems and tracking algorithms Background in defense, aerospace, or autonomous systems Experience working in small, agile engineering teams
What else
Willingness to travel Citizenship of NATO member country or closed allied are mandatory
