This is a part-time position with a contract-based teaching role that may be in-person or online, depending on the course and department needs.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Teach assigned courses in designated academic disciplines (e.g., Economics, English &amp; Writing, or other subject areas).</li><li>Deliver instruction in accordance with KWC&rsquo;s academic standards and curriculum requirements.</li><li>Prepare and deliver engaging, student-focused lessons.</li><li>Assess student work and provide feedback.</li><li>Participate in departmental meetings and faculty development activities as needed.</li><li>Maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with students, colleagues, and the campus community.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: square;margin-left: 0in;\"><li><strong>Education:</strong> Master&rsquo;s degree in the subject area; doctoral degree preferred for certain roles (e.g., Economics adjunct requires at least 18 graduate hours in Economics).</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Previous teaching experience at the college or online level is preferred but not always required.</li><li><strong>Skills:</strong> Strong communication, subject matter expertise, and ability to adapt to diverse learning environments.</li><li><strong>Other:</strong> Willingness to work flexible schedules; ability to meet course delivery requirements.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Additional Information</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Kentucky Wesleyan College is a private, four-year liberal arts institution located in the vibrant city of Owensboro. A United Methodist-related college founded in 1858, Wesleyan is known for excellence in academics and a superior residential experience. Kentucky Wesleyan College has been consistently ranked by U.S. News &amp; World Report as one of the Best Regional Colleges in the South and one of the Top Performers in Social Mobility in the South. The Princeton Review has also recognized KWC as a &ldquo;Best in the Southeast&rdquo; college for several consecutive years.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Kentucky Wesleyan students can choose from 29 majors and 13 pre-professional programs. Classes have a 13-to-1 student-faculty ratio, and 88 percent of the faculty have a Ph.D. or terminal degree.
