We support some of the industry's leading broadcast and media organizations through innovative production workflows and technical excellence.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary</span><br>The Audio Technician / A1 is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio systems for live television broadcasts, digital streaming productions, and special events. This position plays a critical role in ensuring broadcast-quality audio for talent, guests, remote contributors, and audiences across multiple platforms.<br>The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced live production environments, possesses strong technical skills, remains calm under pressure, and delivers exceptional communication and client service.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span><br>Set up, operate, and monitor audio systems for live television broadcasts, digital streaming productions, and special events.<br>Mix live audio sources including talent microphones, remote guests, IFBs, playback, music, and studio feeds.<br>Maintain consistent broadcast-quality audio levels throughout live productions.<br>Monitor audio signals and quickly diagnose and resolve issues before they impact air.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Guest &amp; Talent Coordination</span><br>Coordinate guests ahead of live appearances and scheduled segments.<br>Conduct pre-show audio and video checks (\"faxing out\" guests) to ensure technical readiness.<br>Prepare and hand off guests for live broadcasts.<br>Set up and manage lavalier microphones, IFBs, wireless microphone systems, and talent communication devices.<br>Manage microphone batteries, wireless frequencies, and talent audio requirements.<br>Escort and assist guests as needed while maintaining a professional on-air experience.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Remote Production Support</span><br>Configure and manage Zoom, Skype, Teams, LiveU, and other remote contribution systems.<br>Establish and troubleshoot remote guest connections for live broadcasts.<br>Monitor remote audio quality and coordinate with guests and production staff to ensure successful live hits.<br>Support hybrid and remote production workflows.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Audio Networking &amp; Communications</span><br>Configure, operate, and troubleshoot Dante audio networks.<br>Operate and support RTS intercom systems and communications workflows.<br>Understand and manage audio signal flow, routing, patching, and IP-based audio infrastructure.<br>Support communications between control rooms, studios, and remote production teams.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equipment Maintenance &amp; Technical Support</span><br>Perform routine maintenance, testing, and quality control on audio equipment.<br>Troubleshoot audio consoles, microphones, wireless systems, IFBs, codecs, routers, and communications systems.<br>Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and studio maintenance projects.<br>Maintain accurate equipment inventory and documentation.<br>Ensure all audio systems are operational and production-ready.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Production Support</span><br>Assist with studio setup, strike, and production preparation.<br>Collaborate closely with Producers, Directors, Technical Directors, Engineers, and Talent.<br>Follow show rundowns and production schedules while adapting to last-minute changes.<br>Support special productions, remote broadcasts, and field operations as assigned.<br>Contribute to a positive team environment and assist across departments when needed.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span><br>Experience working in live television, broadcast, streaming, or live event production environments.<br>Strong knowledge of live audio mixing and broadcast audio workflows.<br>Experience operating professional digital audio consoles.<br>Experience with Dante audio networking.<br>Experience with RTS intercom systems.<br>Familiarity with LiveU and remote production technologies.<br>Experience managing Zoom, Skype, Teams, and other remote guest platforms.<br>Understanding of signal flow, audio routing, patching, and troubleshooting.<br>Strong organizational and communication skills.<br>Excellent client-facing and talent-facing professionalism.<br>Ability to remain calm and make decisions under live broadcast pressure.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications</span><br>Experience in a live television control room environment.<br>Knowledge of wireless microphone coordination and RF management.<br>Familiarity with audio-over-IP workflows.<br>Experience with news, sports, or entertainment broadcasts.<br>Understanding of broadcast networking infrastructure.<br>Experience supporting multiple studios or control rooms.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills &amp; Competencies</span><br>Strong troubleshooting abilities<br>Excellent attention to detail<br>Effective communication skills<br>Professional guest and client management<br>Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments<br>Team-oriented mindset<br>Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies</p>",
