From gorgeous, wood-beam bed frames to plush, hand-dyed blankets, each of our 142 rooms and suites embraces Vermont&rsquo;s signature style.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>One of the most beloved resorts in New England, The Woodstock Inn &amp; Resort, is seeking a Lead Painter to join the team!</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Job Summary:&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Lead Painter is responsible for overseeing interior and exterior painting, floor reconditioning, and various projects from start to finish while actively performing painting work. This role leads a crew of painters, ensures high-quality workmanship, maintains safety standards, and completes projects on schedule and within scope. The Lead Painter serves as the primary point of contact on-site and provides direction, training, and quality control for the painting team.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Job Specifications:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Expected Pay Range: Starting $27.00 per hour<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li><em>The pay scale shown is the range that we reasonably expect to pay. Actual compensation offered may be adjusted based on a candidate&rsquo;s qualifications and/or experience.</em></li></ul></li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Shift &amp; Schedule Availability: Full time year-round, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Weekends and holidays when needed</li></ul></li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead and supervise a team of painters on job sites.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Plan, organize, and assign daily tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Apply paint, stains, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Review project plans, specifications, and color schedules.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Research, recommend, and source best product for conditions and materials.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Enforce safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE.)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Train and mentor painters, including new hires and apprentices.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Communicate progress, issues, and changes to supervisors or project managers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Inspect completed work and perform touch-ups as necessary.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Job Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">5+ years of professional painting experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">1&ndash;3 years of experience leading or supervising a painting crew.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Expert knowledge of surface preparation, coatings, and application techniques.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to read work orders, and project specifications.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure work, and work site complies with OSHA and Vermont state laws, regulations and statutes.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Valid driver&#39;s license and clean driving record.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">RRPM lead paint certified or the ability to acquire necessary certifications.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Climb ladders, kneel, crouch and get into tight spaces and perform repairs on varied surfaces.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&nbsp;We offer great resort privileges, discounts, and free employee meal to all employees.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This is a full-time position and eligible after an initial waiting period for a competitive benefits package that includes * Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage, *Employer Paid: Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability* Paid Time Off, * 401k Retirement Plan with Employer match.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Our success is the direct result of dynamic, dedicated people with a passion for hospitality who enjoy being part of a devoted, hard-working team.
