Join us and be part of something extraordinary.</p><p>We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Application Development Manager to join our Markets Engineering team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA.</p><p>In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:</p><ul><li>Manage multiple application development projects across Securities Finance Platform, overseeing all phases of the software development lifecycle from analysis and design through implementation and support.</li><li>Lead the delivery of application solutions across diverse platforms, technologies, software, hardware, and computing environments.</li><li>Partner closely with business stakeholders to define, develop, and implement technology solutions that improve business performance and drive revenue or cost impact.</li><li>Oversee multiple application systems and development teams, ensuring effective execution, coordination, and alignment with business and technology objectives.</li><li>Define resource requirements, allocate team capacity, and promote best-practice development techniques to improve quality, efficiency, and delivery outcomes.</li><li>Ensure the availability, stability, and integrity of production systems by establishing strong support processes and responding quickly to operational issues.</li><li>Communicate timely, accurate, and relevant project updates to stakeholders, leadership, and other impacted parties.</li><li>Recruit, lead, motivate, and develop team members while fostering innovation, change management, collaboration, and strong overall team performance.</li></ul><p>To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial</li><li>12+ years of experience in systems analysis and application development, including supervisory, management, or technology leadership responsibilities.</li><li>Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing technology teams across multiple projects and priorities.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex technical and operational challenges effectively.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business partners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing large-scale application development initiatives across diverse technologies and platforms.</li><li>Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, production support, and best-practice development methodologies.</li><li>Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.</li></ul><p>At BNY, our culture speaks for itself, check out the latest BNY news at:<br><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https://www.bny.com/corporate/global/en/about-us/newsroom.html\">BNY Newsroom</a><br><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/company/bnyglobal/posts/?feedView=all\">BNY LinkedIn</a>&nbsp;<br><br>Here’s a few of our recent awards:</p><ul><li>America’s Most Innovative Companies, Fortune, 2025</li><li>World’s Most Admired Companies, Fortune 2025</li><li>“Most Just Companies”, Just Capital and CNBC, 2025</li></ul><p>Our Benefits and Rewards:<br>BNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay-for-performance philosophy.
