Description
As a Machinist – Team Lead/Level 5 here at Honeywell , you will play a critical role in manufacturing precision parts and components that meet exacting quality standards. Your expertise will contribute directly to the production process, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency in machining operations.
You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Urbana, OH location on an On-site work schedule.
1st Shift: Mon - Thurs 10 hours, 5:00am - 3:00pm
In this role, you will impact the quality and reliability of aerospace components, supporting Honeywell's commitment to excellence in the aerospace industry.
Responsibilities
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and train employees to various machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure parts meet required tolerances and standards.
• Perform quality inspections and adjustments to maintain product quality and adherence to safety protocols.
• Utilize ERP system to manage workflow and inventory levels.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
• Proven experience in operating and programming CNC machines and manual machine tools.
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and materials used in aerospace manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Proficient in MS Suite

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• 8+ years of experience in machining, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
• Familiarity with safety standards and quality control processes in manufacturing.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• SAP experience or other ERP systems
The annual base salary range for this position is $77,200 - $116,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
