The incumbent must be familiar with current drugs of abuse and withdrawal management strategies as well as provincial resources available to assist in identifying the most appropriate care plan for clients. The incumbent is responsible to triage and provide nursing support to clients with acute medical, psychiatric and detoxification issues. The Detox Nurse will facilitate the development and monitor compliance of Withdrawal Management, Medication Management and Medical Protocols in the Brief and Social Detox Program. The incumbent will develop strong service relationships with the attending physician(s), team members, and other related service partners in the Saskatoon Health Region and throughout the province. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience 1 year experience in a mental health setting.
