All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.</p>\n<h2>Duties, Responsibilities & Other</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities*: </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>The Energy-Engineer-in-Training will assist in the design and preparation of construction drawings for various utility projects including natural gas, power, transmission, distribution, substation, clean generation and energy storage projects. The Engineer-in-Training will work closely under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, contributing to engineering calculations, drafting, and coordination of multiple engineering disciplines. This role requires a general knowledge of engineering principles, ability to read and interpret plans, MicroStation, AutoCAD, GIS systems, pole loading or other specialty software, as well as strong communication, technical writing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Technical Skills:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Core Technical Knowledge</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fundamental understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuits, power systems, and basic electronics</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, including renewable and clean energy technologies</li>\n <li>Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications</li>\n <li>Ability to perform basic engineering calculations under the supervision of a Professional Engineer (PE)</li>\n <li>Understanding of field conditions and how they translate into engineering design requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Engineering Tools & Software</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exposure to analytical or modeling tools such as MATLAB or similar engineering software</li>\n <li>Willingness and aptitude to learn utility-specific engineering software (e.g., ETAP, EasyPower, PLS-CADD, MicroStation)</li>\n <li>Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting/CADD tools</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for technical documentation and data analysis</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Engineering Practice & Project Support</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to assist with preparation of construction drawings, markups/redlines, and engineering documentation</li>\n <li>Assist with electrical engineering analysis related to power generation, transmission, and substation infrastructure projects</li>\n <li>Support engineering activities related to power system analysis, including short-circuit studies, load flow analysis, grounding studies, and protection coordination under the guidance of senior engineers.</li>\n <li>Support coordination between electrical, civil, structural, and environmental disciplines to advance project design</li>\n <li>Participate in engineering evaluations related to interconnection of generation resources, energy storage systems, and large electrical loads</li>\n <li>Participate in engineering evaluations calculations</li>\n <li>Ability to support site visits and collect field data, including measurements, notes, sketches, and photographs</li>\n <li>Experience working with multiple engineering and collaboration tools in an academic or project-based environment</li>\n <li>Support project teams in maintaining engineering documentation, design updates, and technical deliverables throughout project development</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Professional & Collaboration Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and coordination</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn from senior engineers and apply technical guidance and feedback</li>\n <li>Interest in power delivery, grid infrastructure, and emerging clean energy technologies</li>\n <li>Progress toward or interest in obtaining Engineer-in-Training (EIT) / Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in the design and preparation of construction drawings for a variety of projects, including civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, petroleum, chemical and utility.</li>\n <li>Perform engineering calculations, interpret engineering drawings and specifications.</li>\n <li>Work with multiple engineering disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work.</li>\n <li>Conduct site visits to gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs, as needed.</li>\n <li>Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review and approval.</li>\n <li>Review and approve shop drawings and ensure that they meet project requirements.</li>\n <li>Read and interpret technical documents necessary for job performance.</li>\n <li>Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required to ensure project success</li>\n <li>Attend bi-weekly (or more frequent, as necessary) meetings with the project team to discuss project progress and tasks.</li>\n <li>Ensure that all projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements and operate within specified budget parameters.</li>\n <li>Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope.</li>\n <li>Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization targets.</li>\n <li>Comply with all company policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Complete other duties as required or assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>* Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic <li>0-2 Years of experience </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program </li>\n <li>General knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit.</li>\n <li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.</li>\n <li>Good communication and technical writing skills.</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and/or Work Experience Preferred: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid Driver’s License</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain required certifications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
