Occasional out-of-state travel is required.&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Design new skid-steer and excavator attachments and OEM products from concept through production.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Manage all aspects of design projects including concept development, prototyping, testing, validation, and design-for-manufacturability.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure correct fabrication, welding, assembly, and functional performance.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Present design concepts, features, opportunities and challenges to the Land Pride management team.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Utilize analysis software, evaluate field testing and recommend design modifications to optimize product designs.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Create detailed drawings, bill of materials, test plans, etc.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Identify and recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to engineering team lead.&nbsp;</li></ul><p></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>Preferred Skills and Qualifications:</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Bachelor&#39;s Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural or BioSystems Machinery Engineering, or related engineering discipline from a four-year college or university.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">5+ years of hands-on design engineering experience, preferably in construction equipment, heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, or related industries.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, welding, assembly) and design-for-manufacturability.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Proficient in CAD (Creo, CATIA, or similar), PLM tools (Windchill), and FEA software; strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present technical information clearly to cross-functional teams.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and resolving field and shop issues safely.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Willing and able to travel out of state for multiple days during development and testing phases.</li></ul><p></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Great Plains Manufacturing, headquartered in Salina, KS, is a proud subsidiary of Kubota with more than 50 years as a Kansas leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of agricultural implements, including seeding, tillage, and landscaping equipment.
