Your role will directly contribute to the reliability, safety, and performance of industrial facilities within the natural resources sector — a key pillar of the Canadian economy.</p><hr><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p><p>In this role, you will make a tangible impact by:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Inspecting existing industrial facilities and providing recommendations to help guide site managers’ priorities.</li><li>Performing and overseeing design calculations while ensuring compliance with Québec guidelines, codes, and regulations.</li><li>Reviewing the work of engineers and technicians to ensure technical accuracy and quality.</li><li>Coordinating multidisciplinary projects as the discipline lead.</li><li>Advising clients on optimal procurement strategies for project execution.</li><li>Monitoring — or overseeing the monitoring of — construction activities to ensure quality and compliance.</li><li>Making key technical decisions on complex issues to enhance the performance and long‑term sustainability of industrial assets.</li></ul><hr><p><strong>The Skills That Set You Apart</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering; a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.</li><li>Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural design in Québec, including steel and reinforced concrete structures.</li><li>Strong experience in industrial environments (mining and metals, pulp and paper, cement plants, petrochemical facilities, aluminum smelters, etc.).</li><li><span lang=\"FR-CA\">Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) — required.</span></li><li>ASP Construction card.</li><li>Consulting engineering experience is an asset.</li><li>Excellent command of spoken and written French; bilingualism is required to collaborate with national teams.</li><li>A collaborative mindset, sound professional judgment, and a strong client‑service orientation.</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Why Choose WSP?</strong></p><p>We exist to shape communities and advance humanity.
