    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>PURPOSE:</strong></p><p>A fully qualified Service Technician will be responsible for performing start-up services, troubleshooting and repair activities on natural gas and light oil-fired industrial boilers both in the field at customer sites, located in Orlando, Florida.</p><p>We are hiring an experienced boiler service technician, looking for an opportunity to work with a well-established, well-respected, and growing company to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to become an important member of our growing company which offers a company truck, cellphone, training, benefits and competitive wages.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong><em>$35.00 to $45.00 per hour based on experience</em></strong></p><p>&nbsp;In this role, you will be responsible for creating a positive relationship with customers as you professionally maintain, troubleshoot, repair and install commercial and industrial equipment.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>WHY JOIN US?</strong></p><p><strong><em>Possible re-location allowance for the right candidate</em></strong></p><ul><li>Permanent full-time position</li><li>Competitive compensation</li><li>Company truck</li><li>Paid overtime if evening and weekend work required</li><li>Co-pay Benefit Plan that includes coverage for employee health and life insurance, AD&amp;D, Short- and long-term disability, hospital, prescription drugs, healthcare and dental care as well as access for spouse and family</li><li>401K with an&nbsp;employer match that doubles and employee&rsquo;s&nbsp;2% contribution</li><li>Friendly culture</li><li>Team approach to learning and sharing opportunities</li><li>Growing company</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead all on-site installation (starts up and upgrades), preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs and testing tasks</li><li>Use test equipment, meters, and your own mechanical abilities to fire boilers and related equipment to ensure proper operation prior to and during installation</li><li>Diagnose errors and technical problems to determine proper solutions and make appropriate recommendations to customers</li><li>Complete documentation such as field service reports, start-up reports, warranty forms, technical recommendation forms, etc.</li><li>Ensure truck inventory is aligned with the recommended parts list</li><li>Promote upgrades in addition to parts sales and new and rental boiler sales</li><li>Perform basic electrical and mechanical repairs on boilers and auxiliary equipment</li><li>Develop and maintain good customer relationships and represent and promote Plains Mechanical Services in a professional manner</li><li>Monday to Friday schedule, working mainly between 7:30am-4:00pm, with some evenings/weekends and overtime work as required</li><li>Emergency standby call on a rotating basis</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Skills, Abilities and Experience:</strong></p><p><strong>Must meet Company requirements with respect to general qualifications.</strong></p><ul><li>Electro-Mechanical Troubleshooting Experience Required</li><li>Travel to customer sites (with occasional but limited overnights)</li><li>5+ years of experience working as a service technician in a related industry</li><li>Experience working on commercial/industrial boiler systems</li><li>Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, and understanding of gas and oil combustion</li><li>Ability to read and understand prints, drawings and technical bulletins</li><li>Basic computer skills to complete service reports and logs</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Company Overview:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;We are a Thermogenics company.</p><p>The Company provides best-in-class parts and 24/7 service support delivered via highly trained technicians and manages a fleet of unique rental equipment to serve temporary or emergency needs.
