Our team brings deep technical expertise and a commitment to excellence across every phase of design, inspection, and construction administration.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Structural Engineering team. In this role, you will support and lead a variety of structural and architectural projects, contributing to the design, analysis, repair, and restoration of buildings across New York City. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, architects, project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver sound structural solutions. As a Project Manager you will manage multiple projects and have overall project management responsibility, including client relationships, scheduling, budgeting, and profitability for a variety of projects.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Do</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead and support projects on existing buildings including structural repairs, fa&ccedil;ade restoration, historic preservation, forensic investigations, and interior alterations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Serve as an in-house structural consultant to architects and mechanical engineers, providing guidance on issues such as deterioration, fa&ccedil;ade anchorage, and roof dunnage design, etc.).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform structural analysis and develop repair details for steel, concrete, masonry, cast iron, and wood structures, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare, review, and coordinate project documentation including drawings (AutoCAD), specifications, technical reports, and correspondence.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in all project phases: investigation, scoping, design, bidding, filing, construction administration, and closeout &ndash; while enforcing quality control and troubleshooting project challenges.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct site inspections using supported and suspended scaffolding and lifts (25&ndash;50% field work) and collaborate closely with clients and contractors to support, educate, and ensure successful project outcomes.</li></ul></div><p><br></p><p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Bring</strong></p><p><strong><u>Required</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering (structural focus/concentration preferred).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">5+ years of work experience in structural engineering.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge and experience of NYC building codes.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be comfortable working at heights and from suspended scaffold rigs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis tools.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Exceptionally organized and skilled at balancing multiple projects and deadlines.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Effective communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.</li></ul></div><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Preferred:</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">NY State PE license.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with existing buildings, historic construction, and historic preservation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with fa&ccedil;ade restoration, parking structures repairs and forensic investigations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Willingness to obtain any other required certifications.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Work Environment &amp; Schedule</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This position is based in New York City, with a hybrid work schedule.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Standard working hours are Monday&ndash;Friday, 8AM &ndash; 5PM (Flexible).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Travel requirements: moderate field work mostly within Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens (25&ndash;50%).</li></ul></div><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Salary range: $110,000 &ndash; $125,000 based on knowledge, skills, and experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, and 401K plan with match.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Paid time off: Holiday, vacation, sick, personal, and birthday.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Career development and growth opportunities.</li></ul></div><p><br></p><p><strong><em>HLZAE, Inc.,</em></strong><em>&nbsp;a wholly owned subsidiary of Milrose Consultants, LLC, is an <strong>Equal Opportunity Employer</strong>.
