Responsibilities
What you'll be able to do:
OTA Deployment Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the anticipated worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the anticipated worksite. Deploy Over the Air Software (OTA) to company owned and consumer vehicles. Triage OTA deployment failures and resolve issues. Support, quality teams, CRC, and service teams in issue resolution and OTA redeployment. Perform production verification (End to End testing) of released software on test vehicles. Activate software packages to deploy OTA. Support IVS, VADR, ORFIN and testing teams. Contribute to the requirements and automation of the Cloud Deployment Management System. Support the training and standardization of the deployment methodology globally.
Qualifications
You'll have…
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Performing vehicle software updates using Azure Cloud based Applications. 2. Supporting software process and software release to OTA updates to several Electronic Modules in the Vehicle. 3. Using Canalyzer, Vector CAN tools, Diagnostic Engineering Tools (DET), In-Vehicle Software (IVS), or Vehicle and Domain Release (VADR) databases to analyze the software levels of the Electronic Modules in the Vehicle. 4. Troubleshooting and performing issue resolution in vehicle software updates, over the air software updates, or automotive vehicle communications to make sure the vehicle is always having the latest software updates. 5. Using GCP, Big Query, Confluence, LookerStudio, and JIRA to track the vehicle software updates. 6. Using PostgreSQL database to store vehicle software update details.
We are offering a salary of $84,053.00 - $190,500.00/yr.
