You will provide day to day support and participate in the modernization and maintenance of the SCADA network infrastructure. This position guides technical decisions and solutions while working cross functionally with IT, project teams and external consultants.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead lifecycle asset management for SCADA network communications infrastructure, including condition assessments, asset inventory governance, end-of-life/end-of-support tracking, risk-based replacement planning, and development of capital improvement roadmaps. </li>\n <li>Initiate, develop, deploy, and oversee network strategies for SCADA environments which include servers, PCs (Microsoft and Linux), PLCs, RTUs, LANs, WANs, wireless devices, virtual machines, and DMZs. </li>\n <li>Review, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network and system issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. </li>\n <li>Employ secure SCADA network architecture and cybersecurity best practices to protect critical infrastructure. </li>\n <li>Lead and contribute to the planning, deployment, configuration and upgrade of Metropolitan SCADA network communications systems. </li>\n <li>Partner closely with IT teams, project managers, and SCADA network/security consultants to review designs, guide technical decisions, and ensure successful project delivery. </li>\n <li>Develop and maintain technical standards, documentation, and procedures while mentoring junior staff and promoting operational excellence. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>This job announcement has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this classification / job. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To view the full job description, click here: Senior Engineering Technician  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> 44/36. Start times are no earlier than 6 am and end times are no later than 6 pm. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hybrid:</strong> Metropolitan’s current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs.
