    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Opportunity:  Engineer III</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Perform preventative and repair maintenance work to ensure the hotel is maintained according to established quality and sustainability standards while treating guests in a warm and friendly manner.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Your Growth Path</strong> </p>\n<p>Engineering Supervisor – Assistant Chief Engineer – Director of Engineering</p>\n<p><strong>Your Focus</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.  <strong> </strong></li>\n <li>Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and repair kitchen and industrial laundry equipment.</li>\n <li>Paint designated areas and items.</li>\n <li>Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.</li>\n <li>Repair furniture.</li>\n <li>Install, replace and program televisions.</li>\n <li>Perform minor plumbing functions.</li>\n <li>Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps as well as preventative maintenance on units.                    </li>\n <li>Trace and repair all types of water lines.</li>\n <li>Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.</li>\n <li>Perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.</li>\n <li>Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. </li>\n <li>Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.</li>\n <li>Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.<strong> </strong></li>\n <li>Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.</li>\n <li>Ensure overall guest satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as requested by management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Your Background and Skills</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma and Trade school course work in related field preferred.</li>\n <li>3-5 years of previous hotel engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.</li>\n <li>1-2 years of industrial mechanical experience is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Context</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends and alternate shifts.</li>\n <li>Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling and climbing.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What We Believe</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>People Are Our Capability – Hearts That Serve – Only Excellence – Stay Nimble – Own It</p>\n<h2>About Us </h2>\n<p>HHM Hotels is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
