You want to learn more about the design, approvals, the construction phase, and how a team works together to get projects done.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Binnie is looking for a Civil Technologist to join our Burnaby Development Division, which provides professional civil engineering services for local municipalities and private developers alike. Typical projects include road and utility improvements and replacements, stormwater management, utility modelling, erosion and sediment control for local and master planned residential, commercial, and industrial developments.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">We have a full-time position available in our Burnaby Office, located near scenic Deer Lake. This role is primarily in-office during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of probation, a hybrid work arrangement may be available based on performance and business needs. You will be working with our talented and supportive team of experienced Project Managers, Engineers, Technologists, Designers, and CAD Technicians on a wide range of land development projects.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">You will carry out design work, CAD assignments, and site inspections. This role offers great mentorship opportunities.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">YOUR ROLE:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Preparing drafting and design tasks using AutoCAD and Civil 3D</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Preparing basic design calculations, analyses, and reports</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Performing and documenting quality control checks on drafting and design work in accordance with Binnie’s Quality Management Program</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Calculating design quantities for materials and preparation of cost estimates</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assisting in the preparation of project specifications and contract documents</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Performing on-site inspection duties and inspection reports</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">WHAT YOU BRING:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">0-2 years of experience on projects in a civil consulting engineering environment for Technologist role</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Completed Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Eligible to register as a Trainee Registrant with ASTTBC or as a Technician/Technologist-in-Training (T.T.) with ASET</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Previous hands-on experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Previous experience in stormwater management design, civil roadworks, and servicing design preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Previous field experience preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle for site visits</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Excellent organization and time management skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">ABOUT BINNIE:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">We are the people behind the infrastructure you use every day.
