Work assignments include, but are not limited, to the following:</p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><br></p><ul style=\"margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in;\" type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Operate utility equipment units, such as backhoe/loader, dump truck, hydraulic jet (flush) truck, vac truck, rodder, and tools such as tapping machine, jackhammer, acetylene torch, welder, pipe saw, trash pump and air compressor, assorted hand tool and power tools to perform any operation within the capacity of the equipment and as necessary to accomplish the job required</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Locating and repair of water leaks</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Analyzing and correcting low-pressure services</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Repairing, replacing and providing maintenance on water mains, valves, meter services, fire hydrants and other water system appurtenances</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Locating and repairing all breaks and stoppages in sewer mains and lateral lines</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Cleaning, repairing, and replacement of sewer mains and manholes</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Adjusting valve boxes and manhole lids to proper grade</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Construction of water and sewer line extensions, installing new meter services and sewer taps, hydrants, valves and manholes</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Clean, service, and maintain all vehicles, equipment, and tools assigned to the crew</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Assist with housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance of workplace facilities</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">When called upon, assist other City divisions in the maintenance and minor construction of the facilities for which they are responsible</li><li style=\"margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family: initial;\">Perform other duties and special assignments as directed by superiors</li></ul><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><br></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'>None</p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><br></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
