This position is primarily based at <strong>St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital</strong> and includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be <strong>board-certified/board-eligible</strong> in pediatric cardiology and possess excellent clinical skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and a passion for advancing the field of cardiology. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and make a meaningful impact on the cardiovascular health of our community.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care through the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases using noninvasive techniques.</li>\n <li>Participate in <strong>inpatient coverage</strong>, with the opportunity to perform <strong>Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)</strong> if desired.</li>\n <li>Build and maintain strong relationships with referring providers in the region to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.</li>\n <li>Share general pediatric cardiology call coverage equally with 12+ full-time physicians in the group.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with a team of highly respected specialists in fetal cardiology, electrophysiology, catheterization, cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac imaging, preventive cardiology, and adult congenital heart disease.</li>\n <li>Work in conjunction with the <strong>Tampa Bay Adult Congenital Heart Center</strong>, which provides lifelong care for adult patients with congenital heart conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About the BMG Pediatric Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Program:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>First opened its doors in 1977 as the first pediatric cardiology program on the west coast of Florida.</li>\n <li>Nationally and internationally respected with specialists in all areas of pediatric cardiology- including fetal, arrhythmia, catheterization,cardiomyopathy, transplant, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac imaging, preventative and weight management cardiology and adult congenitalcardiology.</li>\n <li>One of the largest comprehensive programs in the state of Florida, serving over 25,000 patients per year.</li>\n <li>State-of-the-art cardiac care fully supported by other pediatric subspecialty services.</li>\n <li>One of only two programs in the state of Florida to be accredited as an ACHD Comprehensive Care Center by the Adult Congenital Heart Association.</li>\n <li>Passionate, supportive and extensively experienced team of multi-specialty cardiologists, surgeons and supported by a team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Board certification/board eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology.</li>\n <li>State medical licensure or eligibility for licensure in Florida.</li>\n <li><strong>TEE experience</strong> is preferred but not required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Benefits</strong>:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>BayCare Medical Group offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to attract and retain top talent.
