    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct visual inspection and verify proper identification of strips being loaded onto payoff stands for use. Report and&nbsp;discrepancies to shift lead.</li>\n <li>Operate overhead crane and payoff stand equipment to load and feed strip material for setup of welds.</li>\n <li>Operate scrap shear to cut off outer wrap / leading end of strip.</li>\n <li>Prepare, align, and set up ends of strip material for welding.</li>\n <li>Setup and operate tig welding machine to weld tabs onto strip material.</li>\n <li>Setup and operate plasma welding machine to weld strip material.</li>\n <li>Achieve certification in all product grades, at a minimum through QT-1000.</li>\n <li>Assist with taking the x-ray of weld.</li>\n <li>Operate pneumatic grinder to dress and finish weld. Remove tabs with shear. Dress and finish edges of strip at weld.</li>\n <li>Record dimensional and hardness readings.</li>\n <li>Operates the planisher to stress relieve the bias weld.</li>\n <li>Record required information accurately on Strip Makeup Order.</li>\n <li>Maintain supply of sanding discs and tools.</li>\n <li>Band up any leftover material from payoff stand, labeling strip properly for return to stock.</li>\n <li>Scan strips in proper location when used.</li>\n <li>Operate pump operations station for accumulation of strip material onto accumulator reel.</li>\n <li>Perform housekeeping duties to include picking up all trash in work area, cleaning floor, organizing tools, and containing any&nbsp;hydraulic leaks.</li>\n <li>Comply with all applicable safety requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; six months to one year related experience in a similar field.</li>\n <li>Previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.</li>\n <li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</li>\n <li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to deal&nbsp;with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a physical, drug test and background check.</li>\n <li>Ability to frequently lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.</li>\n <li>Ability to frequently bend, squat, climb, twist, and reach.</li>\n <li>Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Competitive Benefits (visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)</p>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest. &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Competitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
