We serve York County and neighboring communities through provision of fully integrated medical, dental and behavioral health care.</em></p><p><strong>Medical Director (Full-Time)</strong></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Medical Director serves as the clinical leader for Nasson Health Care and works collaboratively with medical and administrative teams to provide comprehensive primary care using the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. This role combines direct patient care with clinical leadership, quality improvement, provider oversight, and strategic planning to support the organization&rsquo;s mission and long-term goals.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Provide direct clinical services in accordance with the highest standards of medical practice and organizational policies.</li><li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to manage patients with high-risk and complex conditions within an integrated care model.</li><li>Ensure continuity of care through appropriate referrals, inpatient coordination, and timely follow-up after hospital discharge.</li><li>Maintain current medical knowledge through continuing education and ongoing professional development.</li><li>Serve as a clinical resource for physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and other clinical staff.</li><li>Lead quality improvement and quality assurance (QI/QA) initiatives in collaboration with the Director of Nasson Health Care.</li><li>Participate in compliance, risk management, and financial oversight programs to support safe, high-quality, and compliant care delivery.</li><li>Provide clinical oversight and mentorship for physicians and APPs.</li><li>Support staff education, provider training, case reviews, and evidence-based clinical learning opportunities.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>Applicants must:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Hold a medical degree from an accredited U.S. medical school</li><li>Be Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics</li><li>Possess an unrestricted Maine medical license</li><li>Hold a current U.S. DEA license</li></ul><p>Preferred qualifications include:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Minimum of three years of experience as a Medical Director in a primary care setting</li><li>Experience with Meaningful Use-certified electronic medical record (EMR) systems</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications</li><li>Strong understanding of:&nbsp;<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Evidence-based practice</li><li>Social and behavioral determinants of health</li><li>Population health management</li><li>Integrated medical, behavioral health, and dental care</li><li>Health information technology and Meaningful Use standards</li></ul></li></ul><p>Additional requirements:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must not have an active exclusion record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website</li><li>Proof of immunity or vaccination for MMR, Hepatitis B, annual Influenza vaccine, and completion of the COVID-19 primary vaccine series</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>We offer a competitive benefits package, including:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Health, dental, vision, and basic life insurance</li><li>Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)</li><li>Income protection benefits</li><li>Flexible Spending Account (FSA)</li><li>403(b) retirement plan</li><li>Paid Time Off (PTO)</li><li>Paid holidays</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>License renewal reimbursement</li></ul><p><strong>Student Loan Repayment</strong></p><p>Nasson Health Care is an approved site for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Student Loan Repayment Program.</p><p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p><p>To be considered, please submit a resume and cover letter.
