    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Who We Are</span></p>\n<p>The Mikisew Cree First Nation (Mikisew) has lived on the ancestral lands of the Athabasca Delta and Wood Buffalo National Park in northeastern Alberta since time immemorial. The lives of our members are linked to the land and to a close understanding of traditions, history and a natural way of life. Many of our members live in the hamlet of Fort Chipewyan, and our traditional lands range over a large portion of Athabasca oil sands deposits. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Role</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">The anticipated length of this program is July 2, 2026 - August 28, 2026</span></p>\n<p><br>Student Workers will perform some or all of the following duties:</p>\n<ul>\n<li> Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads and public grounds of Mikisew <br>Reserve lands and other areas, working as member of crew</li>\n<li>Sweep debris and remove from streets, sidewalks, building grounds and other <br>areas</li>\n<li>Shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers, spread concrete and <br>asphalt on road surfaces using shovels, rakes and hand tampers, and perform <br>other activities to assist in maintenance and repair of roads</li>\n<li>Dig ditches and trenches using shovels and other hand tool</li>\n<li> Operate jackhammers and drills to break up pavement</li>\n<li>Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment</li>\n<li>Collect and load materials onto trucks</li>\n<li>Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or trucks</li>\n<li>Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment</li>\n<li>Assist skilled tradespersons such as carpenters, plumbers and mechanics</li>\n<li>General labor duties to be determined<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px\">This position is funded through the </span><em>Government of Canada - Canada Summer Jobs</em><span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px\"> program. To be eligible, applicants </span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">must</span><span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px\"> meet the eligibility requirements established by the program. </span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Canada Summer Jobs project eligibility:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of their summer job</li>\n<li>be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the job and</li>\n<li>be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations\n<ul>\n<li>This includes having a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of the summer job</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">All applications will be reviewed, although only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
