Our BTs provide individualized services in a 1:1 teaching format to children with autism exclusively in our clinics. MAC will provide all of the necessary training you will need to start your career as a Behavior Technician, as well as opportunities to grow with us through professional development, mentorship, and training. Our training program provides you with the tools you need to be successful as you learn to apply and implement behavior analytical techniques under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.</p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Work 1:1 with children and young adults with autism by applying and implementing behavior analytical techniques that increase communication, self-help, and social and play skills under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst</li><li>Utilize positive reinforcement and antecedent modification to increase appropriate behaviors over time</li><li>Use the appropriate/prescribed ratio of reinforcement for each client</li><li>Assist in the development and maintenance of instructional materials</li><li>Maintain accurate records of client performance/progress via data collection and/or clinical notes through an online and paper data collection system</li><li>Manage any inappropriate behaviors that occur</li><li>Keep clients motivated to learn through preference assessments</li><li>Communicate confidentially and professionally with behavior analysts, teachers, parents, and principals</li><li>Respond appropriately to feedback and/or correction</li><li>Report concerns directly and promptly to your supervising BCBA</li><li>Toilet training and diaper changing may be required</li><li>The 40-hour RBT course must be completed prior to starting the position&nbsp;<ol><li>MAC will provide the program and training on the program&nbsp;</li><li>MAC will provide 40 hours of pay once BT hits their 45 days of employment for the training completed prior to coming onboard&nbsp;</li></ol></li></ul><p><strong>Education, Experience and Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred</li><li>Experience/strong interest in working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities</li><li>18 years of age or older&nbsp;</li><li>First Aid/CPR certification is required&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to change one&rsquo;s own behavior as directed by the BCBA</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with others</li><li>Be willing to learn and grow as a Behavior Technician</li><li>Ideally, have availability from 10:00am-2:00pm Monday-Friday. Will have the option of picking up additional hours based upon clinic need.</li><li>Must be able to work 2 Saturdays/year&nbsp;</li><li>Must have reliable transportation to travel to clinic&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to pass a state and FBI background check, state child abuse clearance and drug screen</li><li>Have knowledge of use of modern technology, i.e. PC, Mac, iPad or other tablets. Training will be provided on the systems used</li><li>Must be able to obtain RBT certification within 60 days of hire if working in PA and within 45 days of hire if working in MD &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to stand and move for 100% of the day</li><li>Use of hearing, hands and eyes 100% of the workday&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally during the work day</li><li>Stamina and ability to work all assigned hours</li><li>Ability to move freely, quickly and frequently from a sitting (on the floor or in a chair) to standing position</li></ul><p><br></p><div data-draftjs-conductor-fragment='{\"blocks\":[{\"key\":\"bssjp\",\"text\":\"Mission Autism Clinics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
