    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Perform a broad range of construction related inspection and testing activities to assure quality and adherence to standard specifications for road and bridge construction projects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Perform field and laboratory testing of soils, asphalt, concrete, and other materials utilized for road and bridge construction projects. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Track and document field and laboratory test results and inspection observations with contractor performance and progress.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Provides direction and coordinates the work of other inspectors when required. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must perform duties in a safe, professional, and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Special Experience/Education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">A High School Diploma or equivalent with math training sufficient to perform field and laboratory tests.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Minimum of three (3) years of experience in construction inspection and testing, commensurate with the duties described above. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have certifications in Aggregate, Concrete, HMA, Density and Concrete Strength, or be able to obtain certifications within 2 years.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must possess and maintain a valid state of Michigan driver license.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Disclosure</span></p>\n<p>This position is within a bargaining unit and the individual that holds this position is subject to the terms and conditions of the existing collective bargaining agreement.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Disclaimer</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license.</li>\n<li>Attractive benefits package</li>\n<li>EOE/ADA/Drug Free Workplace</li>\n</ul>",
