This role is responsible for testing advanced systems, analyzing complex customer applications, troubleshooting field issues, and ensuring products meet industry standards and operational requirements. This role will collaborate closely with development, product management, and systems engineering teams to influence product direction and feature implementation. With a strong background in traffic signal operations and detection system performance, the ideal candidate will also drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and application support, helping to shape the future of Econolite&rsquo;s traffic management and detection solutions.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><strong>DUTIES:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-size: 16px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases for embedded software across Econolite&rsquo;s traffic controller and detection product lines.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Apply expert knowledge of traffic engineering principles, signal operations, and user behavior to develop realistic and high-impact test scenarios.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Evaluate and troubleshoot detection product performance, including radar and video-based systems, using a strong understanding of analog/digital signals and network topologies.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Work closely with engineers, product managers, project/program managers, and other team members throughout all stages of product development.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Review customer specifications and field configurations, identifying gaps and proposing design-level solutions to meet or exceed performance and operational requirements.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Serve as a senior technical resource, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement of test strategies, tooling, and support processes.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation), Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrated technical experience.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">7+ years of hands-on experience in traffic engineering, traffic signal operations, or detection systems, with progressive responsibility in technical roles.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Proven expertise in traffic controllers, sensor technologies (radar and video), and signal turn-on/configuration procedures.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Strong working knowledge of interpreting and troubleshooting electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and field network topologies (including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing/switching environments).</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments, with experience using diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, logic analyzers, or serial/network monitors.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Experience working directly with customers or agencies, providing field support, troubleshooting, and technical resolution.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Experience in test automation and scripting (e.g., Python, C, or C++) is a significant plus.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">CCNA, IMSA, or other relevant traffic and networking certifications are advantageous; strong understanding of network protocols, topologies, and diagnostic tools is strongly preferred.</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">PRE-EMPLOYMENT<br></span></strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">All candidates who accept employment will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening.
