    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Following standard procedures, this person will provide supervision of dental hygiene services related to the operation of the Dental Hygiene clinic in a non-faculty/non-teaching role. Some evenings may be required to meet the needs of the department.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduation from a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) with eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure as a dentist. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Three (3) years full time experience as a general dentist or specialty practice. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ABILITIES AND SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Functional ability with computers or ability to learn computer functions. Required</li>\n <li>Possession of a current Hepatitis B vaccination and willingness to maintain. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide overall supervision of patient care rendered in the dental hygiene clinic.</li>\n <li>Act as a consultant conferring with the dental hygiene faculty members assigned to clinic in regard to clinically related information and/or questions.</li>\n <li>Provide a diagnostic dental examination and head/examination for patients treated in the dental hygiene clinic.</li>\n <li>Prescribe and interpret dental radiographs.</li>\n <li>Prescribe dental sealants, fluoride and other medicaments as deemed necessary.</li>\n <li>Administer local anesthesia for pain control.</li>\n <li>Manage medical emergencies that may occur during the clinical session.</li>\n <li>Refer patients for follow-up diagnostic services.</li>\n <li>Discuss dental diagnosis and treatment planning with patients, students and faculty.</li>\n <li>Evaluate restorative/hard tissue charting and confirm documentation of pathology.</li>\n <li>Ensure that clinical services are consistent with current dental practice.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Standards and Special Job Features</h2>\n<p>Frequent and quick movement from one student station to another is required.</p>\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>Hourly rate is $75.00.\n<h2>College Statement</h2>\n<p>This is not a complete itemization of all facets of this position.
