    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><strong>PURPOSE</strong></p><p>The Estimator &ndash; Industrial will support Project Managers in the pursuit of both Planning and Specifications, along with Design/Build/Negotiated Projects. &nbsp;Maintain and grow the &ldquo;Client for Life&rdquo; concept for existing and new clients. &nbsp;Performs related work as required.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong><em>The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be constructed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.</em></strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Set-up and maintain estimating software including maintenance of database and system components &nbsp;</li><li>Develop common mechanical, process piping, and utility systems for estimating software</li><li>Update estimating software piping specifications as needed for non-standard requirements of job specifications</li><li>Prepare all mechanical, process piping, and utility project take-off for inclusion into estimating book using estimating software:<ol><li>Drawing take-off</li><li>Review of job specs incorporating all requirements into take-off calculation</li><li>Preparation of all take-off reports&nbsp;</li><li>Distribution of estimating reports to Project Managers</li></ol></li><li>Responsible for working with project stakeholders to prepare estimates for projects, including complete scopes of work with vendor/subcontractor pricing and coordination</li><li>Communicate with Project Managers regarding take-off data, job requirements, and specifications</li><li>Meet project bid deadlines and schedules</li><li>Possess thorough understanding of estimating best practices and industry standards</li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of local market conditions including changes in material, equipment, and labor costs</li><li>Keep abreast of changes in industry technology and processes to determine impact on estimating methods</li><li>Assist Project Manager with Project Schedule, change order estimates, and cost analysis</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and subcontractors</li><li>Possess analytical skills to review and estimates compiled by others</li><li>Assist with estimating software training for new employees</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>MINIMUM EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Certificate or degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience</li><li>Minimum of five (5) years estimating experience</li><li>Strong knowledge of computer estimating systems</li><li>Strong knowledge and understanding of mechanical, process piping, utility and structural systems, materials, labor and codes</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</p><ul><li>N/A</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel</li><li>Ability to read and understand job specifications, project drawings, sketches</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY</strong></p><ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li><li>Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally</li><li>May have occasional visits to a job site which would require periods of standing, walking and/or climbing stairs</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EQUIPMENT/TOOLS</strong></p><ul><li>Microsoft Excel</li><li>Microsoft Word</li><li>Microsoft Project</li><li>REVIT</li><li>Quote Express</li><li>Est - MEP</li></ul><p><strong><br>&nbsp;</strong><em><strong>Baker Group&nbsp;</strong></em><strong>is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
