Description
ROLE: Contract Special Security Officer (CSSO)
REQUIRED:
Active Clearance: Top Secret (TS), SCI preferred (Immediate eligibility for SCI & SAP required) Ability to work onsite at Shaw AFB, SC Minimum of two (2) years of working in a TS/SCI facility Minimum of one (1) year of relevant security experience FUNCTION:
Assists the Wing Security Manager in operation of the special security office, administers the SCI security program, and assists in SCI security functions for Wing and subordinate units SCIFs. Maintains Defense Information System for Security (DISS) records for personnel. Oversees SCI personnel, information, physical, and technical security actions and procedures. Manages SCI Personnel Security Program (nomination interviews, access requirements, investigative requests, briefings, NdA/NdS, personnel security actions). Provides briefings on local SCI security procedures, conducts annual training, maintains records of SCI security awareness/training. Creates and destroys Access Control Security (ACS) badges, maintains badge rosters and access authorization lists. Develops and maintains SCIF/SAPF/SAPCA accreditation, communications system, and information system documentation. Reports and investigates unauthorized disclosures of classified intelligence information. Provides SSO support to DoD SCI contractors, processes DD Form 254. Implements and administers wing personnel and information security programs, develops SOPs, EAPs, MOUs. Certifies and receives visitor clearances, manages visit requests, foreign travel paperwork, and DISS updates. Implements and administers wing physical security program, ensures compliance with construction, protection, and operation of SAP and SCI facilities. Reviews plans for new projects to assure adequate planning for information security and controls. DESCRIPTION:
