With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Role description:</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span>Arcadis&nbsp;is seeking a&nbsp;</span><strong>Senior Stormwater Transportation Engineer</strong><span>&nbsp;to join&nbsp;our Baton Rouge or Metairie, LA drainage practice.&nbsp;We have a strong backlog of work and need to expand our Louisiana team. Under the direction of our established leadership team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will challenge you and provide growth in your career.&nbsp;We have a flexible work environment allowing you to collaborate with a team on local, national, and international projects.</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Role accountabilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Engineering design for numerous roadway drainage and design-build projects including collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates, and bridge replacements across the southeast.</li>\n <li>Assist in all aspects of roadway drainage design including bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system design, pond design, and erosion and sedimentation control.</li>\n <li>Prepare construction plans and project displays.</li>\n <li>Prepare cost estimates, reports, and technical memos.</li>\n <li>Lead marketing efforts for drainage and assist in proposal development, LOR’s, presentations, and interviews.</li>\n <li>Provide quality control reviews for drainage calculations and plans.</li>\n <li>Utilize various design software including MicroStation, Inroads, ORD-SUDA, AutoCAD Civil 3d, Microsoft Excel, GIS, ICPR, HEC-RAS, HY8, FlowMaster, Pond Pack, StormCAD, SMS, SRH2D, and HEC-RAS 2D to assist with the design and preparation of construction plans.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with project managers and other disciplines including roadway, structures, utilities, etc.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Direct and mentor junior engineers&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Manage a team of up to 5 engineers</li>\n <li>Requires no technical supervision</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>10+ years of relevant LADOTD drainage design experience.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET Accredited University</li>\n <li>Louisiana PE</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Skills/Attributes</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working on LADOTD projects.</li>\n <li>In depth understanding of Bridge Hydraulics Analysis.</li>\n <li>Understanding of FEMA floodplain regulations&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of stormwater design including open channel conveyance and closed drainage systems.</li>\n <li>Experience with permitting requirements of Water Management Districts and FDEP.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of stormwater treatment using appropriate BMPs suitable for the linear nature of transportation projects&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Possess effective communication (written and verbal), teamwork skills and the flexibility to complete a wide range of tasks including field work.</li>\n <li>Exhibit the initiative and ability to tackle new projects and other challenges regularly.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Why Arcadis?</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
