Adjunct Clinical Faculty
We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered nursing professional committed to student success to join our Nursing Department as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty . Candidates should be comfortable working in a mission-based university environment and possess a passion for mentoring future nurses in clinical practice settings. The successful candidate will provide direct supervision, instruction, and evaluation of nursing students in clinical environments while promoting safe, evidence-based, and compassionate patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and instruct nursing students in clinical settings across assigned healthcare agencies. Facilitate the integration of classroom knowledge into clinical practice. Evaluate student clinical performance and provide timely feedback. Promote professionalism, accountability, and adherence to ethical nursing standards. Collaborate with course coordinators and full-time faculty regarding student progress and course expectations. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, attendance, and evaluation records. Ensure compliance with university policies, healthcare agency requirements, and state board regulations. Participate in faculty orientation and required training activities.
Required Qualifications Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution preferred Current unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of three years recent clinical nursing experience in the relevant specialty area. Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and student success. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel to assigned clinical sites. Preferred Qualifications Previous clinical teaching or precepting experience. Experience working with diverse student populations. Proficiency with learning management systems and electronic documentation systems. Specialty certification in area of clinical expertise: Critical Care, Maternity, Mental Health, Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics
