&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">&nbsp;We are WAGI</span></strong></p><p>WAGI is seeking a full-time <strong>Medical Laboratory Technician</strong> to join our Federal Way Lab Team. &nbsp;The Medical Lab Technician is responsible for independently performing and reporting all test analyses according to physician orders in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures, FDA, CAP, OSHA, CLIA and JCAHO regulations to facilitate optimum quality patient care. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Performs all laboratory tests accurately and in a timely fashion following established guidelines and physician orders&nbsp;</li><li>Reports all tests in a&nbsp;timely, efficient, and accurate manner in compliance with documented laboratory procedures</li><li>Ensures compliance with all local, federal, CLIA and CAP regulations&nbsp;</li><li>Follows QC/QA policies and procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Recognizes factors that affect measurements and results and takes appropriate action according to predetermined protocols</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Performs quality control for all testing and meets established ranges before patient results are released &nbsp;</li><li>Determines acceptability of specimens by performing visual inspections or by recognizing abnormal/ unusual results&nbsp;</li><li>Uses time efficiently to complete workload independently and within the prescribed time limit</li><li>Maintains a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment maintenance and checks</li><li>Recognizes and troubleshoots malfunctions of advanced technological equipment and initiates corrective action &nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of Hazardous Communication and Chemical Hygiene Plan&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Qualifications:</em></strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>High school graduate or equivalent&nbsp;</li><li>Medical Laboratory Technician degree required</li><li>ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist</li><li>Current CPR/BLS certification</li><li>Previous experience as a Medical Lab Technician preferred</li><li>Previous phlebotomy experience preferred&nbsp;</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>As a healthcare organization, the candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. &nbsp;WAGI will consider requests for religious or medical accommodation exemptions from this requirement as allowed under the Mandate at the time of Job Offer through Human Resources. &nbsp;Your vaccination status is confidential information not to be shared with the Hiring Manager</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Activities and Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Occasional travel may be required to other local locations on an as-needed basis to back-fill for vacations, etc.</li><li>Ability to stand and walk throughout the day, up to 10 hours per day</li><li>Prolonged periods of sitting and performing administrative duties including the use of computers</li><li>Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach</li><li>Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed (up to 25 pounds)</li></ul><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Employees (and their families) who work full time (defined as working 30 or more hours per week) will be eligible for <strong>medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and basic life insurance</strong>. &nbsp;</li><li>In addition, employees are able to enroll in our company&rsquo;s<strong>&nbsp;401(k)</strong> plan which includes a company provided safe harbor contribution of 3% of annual earnings and the potential for a company discretionary profit-sharing contribution.</li><li>All employees will be eligible to accrue <strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">PTO</strong><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">&nbsp;at a rate of .04 hours per payroll hour (1.6 hours for a 40-hour week) which can be used for and exceeds the required mandatory WA State and other local ordinances. &nbsp;In addition, full time employees will be eligible for a&nbsp;</span><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Vacation</strong><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">&nbsp;accrual with a maximum annual accrual of 77 hours as a new hire.
