    "descriptionText": "Description\n\n SUMMARY \n\nBFS engineers are given the opportunity to explore and support a variety of areas in an engineering role at an aviation\n\ncompany. BFS Engineers need a problem solving mindset and have wide ranging responsibilities spanning from\n\nconceptualizing and substantiating repairs for components, certification activities, clean sheet tooling/equipment\n\nbuilds, or reviewing processing certification from repaired components. This position requires excellent\n\ncommunication, problem solving skills, and a strong CAD skillset.\n\n DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO): \n\n\\ Assist with developing new repairs, alteration, or configuration changes across a range of aircraft systems\n\n\\ Assume responsibility for small to medium projects from start to finish\n\n\\ Ensure compliance when applicable with repair criteria or other published limitations\n\n\\ Inspect, support and accomplish limited repair functions under BFS’ Part 145 repair station\n\n\\ Developing models and 2D dimensioned prints ranging from simple to complex\n\n\\ Assist with mathematical analysis and computations for repair and certification projects\n\n\\ Review and develop documents including repair procedures, repair substantiations and certification project\n\ndocuments\n\n\\ Design, order and integrate tooling and testing equipment\n\n\\ Liaison between engineering and other groups at BFS to support projects or initiate new ones\n\n Requirements\n\n SKILLS AND ABILITIES (MINIMUM) \n\n\\ Possess and demonstrates integrity throughout all interactions and functions at BFS\n\n\\ Possesses foundational engineering concepts through undergraduate level education or equivalent aviation\n\nexperience\n\n\\ Acquires fundamental knowledge and develops skills in a specific practice area through mentored experience\n\n\\ Applies learned knowledge and skills to perform assigned tasks and tasks as part of a broader assignment\n\n\\ Performs routine technical work which does not require previous experience\n\n EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM) \n\n\\ Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (electrical, mechanical, or engineering technology degree) or\n\nequivalent industry experience\n\n\\ (Preferred) Passion for aviation\n\n\\ (Preferred) Hands on experience with aviation quality or supplier interface.\n\n\\ (Preferred) Experience with 14 CFR Part 21, 43, 29/27, 23/25 regulations and design criteria\n\n\\ (Preferred) Professional experience in a AS9110 / AS9100 / ISO 9001 environment\n\nThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the\n\nemployee(s) incumbent in this position.
