We encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our vibrant campus community today! &nbsp;</p>\n<p>At the University of Wyoming, we are committed to creating a supportive and enriching workplace.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>JOB TITLE:</b></p>\n<p>Classroom Technology Services Technical Assistant</p>\n<p>JFNTMP</p>\n<p><b>JOB PURPOSE:</b></p>\n<p>As a&nbsp;CTS Technical Assistant, you are the first tier of technical support for installed presentation and conferencing technology in classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, and other supported spaces and your efforts are instrumental to the success of teaching and learning at UW.&nbsp; This includes responding to support calls from classrooms, direct in-person support of technology in classrooms, and just-in-time support of campus meetings.&nbsp; In addition, you’ll assist with preventive maintenance, technology hardware replacement, and training of individual instructors in classrooms. &nbsp;This position will also assist with monitoring, replacing, or repairing classroom equipment, as well as managing network device configuration, PC maintenance, and deployment.</p>\n<p>This is an excellent opportunity to build skillsets through experiential learning and on-the-job training with direct career value to careers in Information Technology, Network or System Administration, or Programmable Control Automation.&nbsp; If you’re a self-starter, like to work independently, don’t mind being on your feet exploring campus, and have top-notch customer service abilities, this job might be for you.</p>\n<p>JFNTMP</p>\n<p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Good mobility and are able to carry 20 pounds of weight for short distances with or without reasonable accommodation.</li>\n <li>Be working with electrical equipment.</li>\n <li>Hours per week low:&nbsp; 10</li>\n <li>Hours per week high: 20</li>\n <li>Starting Pay:&nbsp; $13.00 - $15.00, depending on experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>WORK LOCATION:&nbsp;</b></p>\n<p>This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.</p>\n<p><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED</li>\n <li>Excellent customer service skills in a customer-facing role</li>\n <li>At least three (3) years of experience using desktop computer applications and operating systems, including Windows and Macintosh systems</li>\n <li>Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the <a href=\"https://www.uwyo.edu/regs-policies/_files/docs/policies/uw-sap-7-9.10-vehicle-sap-driver-portion-approved4-27-22.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Driving for University Business SAP</a>.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with incident management (help desk) system and resolution of incidents</li>\n <li>Experience with classroom technologies (projectors, microphones, audio systems, cameras, etc.)</li>\n <li>Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve hardware issues with audio video technology</li>\n <li>Interest in maintaining awareness of issues with current and new classroom technologies</li>\n <li>Knowledge of customer service principles and the ability to resolve incidents effectively, including urgent and high impact classroom incidents</li>\n <li>Experience with Macintosh, Windows, iOS, Android operating systems</li>\n <li>Knowledge of configuration of desktop computers, network setup, and troubleshooting</li>\n <li>Capability to diagnose issues with portable devices (laptops, tablets, smartphones) used for presentations</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Knowledge of general UW procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>REQUIRED MATERIALS:&nbsp;</b>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Complete the online application and upload the following for a complete application: cover letter, resume or C.V.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>HIRING STATEMENT:&nbsp;</b>&nbsp;</p>\n<div style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
