      "content": "<h3>Clinic</h3>\n\n<li>Provides the highest quality of Medical Assistant care according to clinic policies and culturally competent care consistent with the agency’s Guide to Service Excellence and Corporate Compliance Plan.</li>\n<li>Safeguards patients’ privacy rights and cooperates in the resolution of patient complaints.</li>\n<li>Participates in a year-long intensive training program to learn the core competencies required of a Health Coach II&nbsp;</li>\n<li>During the training process, incumbents are required to perform all the Health<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Coach II duties under close supervision and are expected to meet the goal of working independently by the end of the training period.</li>\n<li>Takes and records vital signs, recognizing abnormalities, and reporting them to nurses and providers.6. Interviews patient to obtain and record medical history using SOAP format in preparation for medical visits</li>\n<li>Obtains basic health information and relevant documents and records.</li>\n<li>Participates in team huddles with providers before the start of clinic day to<strong>&nbsp;</strong>prepare for patient visits and manage standing orders.</li>\n<li>Performs basic in-clinic lab tests and obtains/processes specimens for lab send-out</li>\n<li>Performs tests such as electrocardiogram, spirometry, audiometry, and<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Snellen test.</li>\n<li>Performs basic nursing procedures such as injections (for immunizations and tuberculin skin tests only), phlebotomy, and dressing changes.</li>\n<li>Fills out forms for ancillary services or referrals as directed by a physician.</li>\n<li>Assists in optimizing patient flow.</li>\n<li>Performs sterilization, infection control and cleaning of clinic areas, and cleaning medical instruments/equipment.</li>\n<li>Maintains and orders clinic supplies, keeping examination rooms, and<strong>&nbsp;</strong>nursing area well-stocked.</li>\n<li>Performs interpretation duties, and makes simple referrals as required/assigned.</li>\n<li>Enters data and retrieve reports from the CDMS system as needed.</li>\n<li>Meets with provider staff to discuss elements of patient care and carries out<strong>&nbsp;</strong>orders as directed.</li>\n<li>Enters health information into electronic health records (EHR) and utilizes EHR for documentation, records retrieval, staff communications, and data<strong>&nbsp;</strong>reporting.</li>\n\n<h3>Technical/Ethical</h3>\n\n<li>Adheres to policy and procedures within the unit.</li>\n<li>Ensures patient's rights to privacy, safety, and confidentiality.</li>\n<li>Attends appropriate in-service education courses for technical growth.</li>\n\n<h3><strong>Leadership</strong></h3>\n\n<li>Attend all staff and component meetings, providing input as necessary; may participate in AHS subcommittees.</li>\n<li>Identifies problems in the work area and works with others to seek solutions.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates good communication skills with patients.</li>\n<li>Appropriately carries out AHS organizational goals.</li>\n<li>Participates in orientation and training for volunteers and new staff.</li>\n"
