    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">The Covenant Day School Athletics Department is seeking a seasonal high school girls varsity head basketball coach to lead the team beginning with the 2026-2027 season. The coach also provides vision for the Covenant Day School girls basketball program across campus and looks to serve in support of the school&rsquo;s mission and vision.</p><p>At Covenant Day School, our vision is to transform hearts and minds for the glory of Jesus Christ. We desire to carry out this vision as a unified and diverse covenant school community that seeks to love the Lord with heart, soul and mind, love our neighbor as ourselves and demonstrate the &ldquo;more excellent way&rdquo; that only comes though the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are committed to welcoming one another, to striving to honor each other consistently, to walking in humility toward one another, and to examining the Scriptures with one another.</p><p>Responsibilities and qualifications desired:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Establish leadership and vision for Covenant Day School&rsquo;s girls basketball program</li><li>Must be well versed in all aspects of the modern game of basketball; basketball playing experience in High School or above levels strongly desired</li><li>Coaching experience required along with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of coaching</li><li>Attend and lead all scheduled girls varsity basketball practices and games&nbsp;</li><li>Partner with the Athletic Director in schedule planning for both varsity and junior varsity seasons</li><li>Instruct players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport</li><li>Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities/exercises; determine game strategies</li><li>Assess players&rsquo; skills, monitor players during competition and practice, and keeps the Athletic and/or Assistant Athletic Director informed of the athletic performance of students</li><li>Follow established protocol in the event of an injury to an athlete</li><li>Perform administrative tasks of the position including distributing equipment, supplies and uniforms, maintaining eligibility forms and other records, and following Covenant Day School athletics policies and procedures</li><li>Lead and direct girls basketball exhibiting Christian values to encourage good sportsmanship and camaraderie</li><li>Desire to work with and mentor high school young ladies</li><li>Responsible for carrying out requests of Athletic Department leadership and for partnering with other coaches and teams as needed.</li><li>Committed follower of Jesus Christ reflecting a desire to serve Him and others in work and life&nbsp;</li><li>Eager to serve in a Christian learning environment, modeling diligence, perseverance, resilience, patience, courage, and Christian discipleship</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p>Seasonal Schedule:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><li>Season lasts generally late October 2026 through late February 2027</li><li>Practices vary in late afternoon and early evening</li><li>Regular season games will typically be on weekdays in the early evening and there may be occasional Saturday games or tournaments.</li><li>Opportunity to lead summer basketball camps at Covenant Day School</li></ul><p><br></p></div></div></div>\n",
