As a&nbsp;Security Officer, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.<strong> </strong><span style=\"color: black;\"><strong>Officers perform duties in three main categories:</strong></span></p><ul><li>Patrolling the facility for the S&amp;C Ridge Boulevard Industrial Campus</li><li>&nbsp;Assignment to the Security Operations Center (SOC)</li><li>Operating the security gatehouses</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>The candidate must have strong written communication skills to join our team. This role will involve drafting clear, accurate, and timely incident and daily field activity reports, and must have a keen eye for detail, observation skills, and the ability to document events in a concise and factual manner</li><li>When on patrol, officers focus on regulating traffic and parking conditions, preventing loss of property, providing an environment that ensures personal safety, and responding to emergency situations. The emergencies in which officers assist include medical, fire, hazardous material releases, unauthorized entry, confined space rescue, severe weather&nbsp;conditions, and building evacuations. Officers must be certified in the use of a self-contained breathing apparatus. All officers are also required to document investigations conducted in response to these duties and emergency situations.</li><li>When staffing the SOC, the officer’s responsibilities include monitoring all facility fire, building supervisory, high voltage supply, intrusion alarms and closed circuit video systems. They also weigh, stage and direct all commercial deliveries and shipments and function as the radio communications dispatcher and telephone switchboard operator off-hours.</li><li>Duties of the gatehouse officer include monitoring vehicular, visitor and team member traffic, directing all shipping and receiving transports, screening contractors and issuing identification badges and parking permits. Officers are also responsible for maintaining and logging information on all commercial-related entrants.</li><li>Security Officers perform other duties as required.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll Need To Succeed:</strong></p><ul><li>High School diploma or acceptable General Educational Development (GED), some college preferred.</li><li>Illinois Driver’s License and Illinois Firearms Owner’s Identification Card.</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with personal computers.</li><li>State of Illinois Security Officer 40-Hour Training Program for armed security</li><li>A Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) and ability to successfully obtain the Firearm Authorization Card (FAC) issued from the State of Illinois, Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.</li><li>4 years of security or related background.
