You'll be part of an agile and dynamic workplace where today's solutions are built for tomorrow's challenges.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Commodity Manager will be responsible for leading the Americas sourcing activities for castings while working collaboratively with Category Managers and other Commodity Managers within the Global Category Sourcing division.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This position is located in Toronto, Canada.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>ln addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing category-specific strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Supporting the development and implementation of sustainable supplier and category strategies that align with business needs via evaluating current supplier landscape, capacity, capability, and competitiveness</li>\n<li>Developing category-specific cost models and cost-driver visibility.</li>\n<li>Leading global cost reduction initiatives and conducting regular cost benchmarking to ensure market /cost competitiveness.</li>\n<li>Participating in and supporting new product development initiatives by evaluating new suppliers and supplier capabilities for go-to-market strategies.</li>\n<li>Managing supplier performance by engaging with cross-functional business partners to drive supplier performance improvement initiatives.</li>\n<li>Ensuring full compliance to governance and best practices as it relates to sourcing, supplier selection, cost evaluation, cost change approvals, and supplier selection processes.</li>\n<li>Conducting supplier, commodity, and procurement market risks on an ongoing basis to develop risks-mitigation plans.</li>\n<li>Understanding plant operations and providing critical supply solutions as needed.</li>\n<li>Developing and implementation of annual cost reduction initiatives.</li>\n<li>Driving supplier consolidation to reduce supply chain complexity.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For:</span></p>\n<p>To thrive in this role, you should bring:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree Business or Engineering, or equivalent working experience</li>\n<li>College Diploma in Supply Chain Management considered an asset</li>\n<li>Supply Chain Management Certification (SCMP), Institute for Supply Management (ISM) certification, or Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) certification considered a strong asset</li>\n<li>Minimum five-years’ experience in procurement and category in industrial/ manufacturing sectors</li>\n<li>Minimum three-years’ experience in global sourcing and category management</li>\n<li>Direct experience with high-impact casting commodity deep understanding of raw metal alloys, subtractive manufacturing, castings, forgings, stampings, etc. is preferred</li>\n<li>Should have experience in identifying and qualifying casting suppliers in North and South America regions.</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience</li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in multi-site settings, including an international supply chain environment</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience developing and implementing best-practices specific to cost management, supplier management, and risk mitigation</li>\n<li>Strong understanding and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically in an industrial manufacturing setting</li>\n<li>Sound knowledge and experience in working with system-based categorization and producing procurement-specific reports</li>\n<li>Ability to work well independently as part of a team within a time-sensitive environment</li>\n<li>Exceptional data analytic capabilities</li>\n<li>High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n<li>Self-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives.</li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and proven people-management experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Armstrong Fluid Technology?</span></p>\n<p>By joining us, you’ll become part of a global community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of fluid-flow technology.
