    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Peraton is currently seeking an experienced <strong>Network Unified Collaboration (UC) Engineer </strong>to join our team in Wiesbaden, Germany.</p>\n<h3>Location: On-site, Wiesbaden, Germany </h3>\n<h3>Role and Responsibilities:  </h3>\n<ul>\n <li>In this role, as the Network UC Engineer, you will be joining and working with the U.S. Army Europe Regional Cyber Center (RCC-E). </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>In this role, you will work with and be responsible for: </strong></p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>Cisco Unified Communication - </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Core Mission: Design, deploy, maintain, optimize, and secure the Cisco Unified Communications (UC) infrastructure footprint for the RCC-E.</li>\n <li>Service Sustainment: Perform daily health checks, proactive monitoring, and Tier-3 troubleshooting for the Cisco Collaboration Suite (CUCM, Unity, UCCX, CER, Expressways, CUBEs). Ensure 99.9% availability for mission-critical voice services across the AORs.</li>\n <li>Configure and maintain SIP trunks, H.323 gateways, SRST, CUBE, and MS Teams trunk configurations for integration with Army Azure cloud or tactical voice networks.</li>\n <li>Configure and maintain SIP trunks, H.323 gateways, SRST, CUBE, and Google Cloud Platform configurations for integration with DISA or tactical voice networks.</li>\n <li>Endpoint & Gateway Management: Manage and maintain Cisco IOS Voice Gateways (SIP/SRTP). Execute configuration updates, firmware patches, and dial-plan optimizations to ensure secure and reliable call routing.</li>\n <li>Identity & Access Integration: Serve as the functional lead for UC-related identity tasks within Cisco ISE. Maintain 802.1X port security for collaboration endpoints and troubleshoot authentication failures to ensure secure network access.</li>\n <li>Collaborative Video Ops: Provide operational support for multi-platform video environments including MS Teams Rooms (MTR) and Cisco Webex. Manage SBC connectivity for Direct Routing and ensure seamless interoperability between VTC hardware and software codecs.</li>\n <li>Support VTC operations including scheduling, endpoint support, and bridging through tactical and RHN network for secure and nonsecure VTC calls.</li>\n <li>Security Compliance & STIGs: Implement and maintain DISA STIG compliance across all UC and Video assets. Collaborate with the Security team to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure the UC posture meets Army Top-Level Architecture (ATLA) standards.</li>\n <li>Integrate collaboration services with Active Directory, PKI/certificate authorities, Cloud platforms and DNS for secure authentication and service delivery.</li>\n <li>Provide Tier 3 escalation support and mentor other team members on UC technologies</li>\n <li>Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the technical liaison between the UC team and the Network Automation Operations pillars. Provide technical input for Change Management boards and assist in the documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).</li>\n <li>Lifecycle Support: Manage the \"Day-2\" operations of the UC infrastructure, including user provisioning, certificate renewals, and capacity monitoring of SIP trunks and VTC bridges.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Documentation & Collaboration - </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Documentation & Change Management: Maintain up-to-date architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures; participate in formal change-control processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h3>Minimum Requirements:</h3>\n<h4>TESA Experience Requirements:</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s and 10+ years’ relevant experience, or HS and 12+ years’ relevant experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certifications (8140 DCWF Code 441):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>DCWF: 441:\n  <ul>\n   <li>SecurityX /CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCIA, GCED, GCIH, </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>And ONE of the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Routing and switching, CCNP Security, CCIE. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Hands-On Expertise:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Unified Communications & Collaboration: Minimum of 5 years of experience administering the Cisco Collaboration stack, including CUCM, UCCX, Unity Connection, and Cisco Emergency Responder (CER). Must have a proven track record of maintaining Cisco Expressways, Voice Gateways (ISR/VG), Analog Gateways and Cisco Unified Border Elements (CUBEs).</li>\n <li>Identity & Network Access Control: Proficiency in Cisco ISE and 802.1X protocols. The candidate should be able to manage endpoint identity policies, troubleshoot authentication/authorization failures for UC devices, and ensure hardware is correctly profiled within the network access architecture.</li>\n <li>Network Foundation (L2/L3): Strong command of Campus Routing and Switching (Cisco Catalyst/Nexus). Candidate must be able to diagnose and resolve Layer 2 (VLANs, Spanning Tree, PoE) and Layer 3 (OSPF/BGP, QoS/DSCP markings) issues that impact real-time voice and video traffic.</li>\n <li>Video Integration: Experience supporting multi-vendor video solutions (MS Teams Rooms, Webex, Polycom) and ensuring interoperability between legacy VTC hardware and modern cloud-based collaboration platforms.</li>\n <li>Configuration Management & Documentation: Demonstrated experience maintaining accurate Network Topology Diagrams (Visio), Port/Cable maps, and System SOPs. Ability to manage configuration backups, version control, and formal change-management records to ensure audit readiness and disaster recovery.</li>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Deep understanding of SIP, including message flows, call negotiation, early media, and troubleshooting methodologies.</li>\n   <li>Practical experience with major SBC platforms: Cisco CUBE, Ribbon, Audio codecs.</li>\n   <li>Understanding of network security principles, including ACLs, NAT, and IPS/IDS.</li>\n   <li>Understanding of Cisco ISE policies, 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, TrustSec, Software-Defined Access. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
