Here, you will make an impact by:</p><ul><li>Preparing high-quality financial deliverables for sell-side (divestitures) and buy-side (acquisition) diligence projects, including quality of earnings, carve-out financial statements, net working capital, debt and debt-like and other deal schedules, stand-alone cost analysis and virtual data room deliverables.</li><li>Engaging with third-party diligence advisors to ensure a properly scoped and accurate Quality of Earnings/Financial Due Diligence report.</li><li>Communicating results of financial diligence to Business Group, Division, Business Finance, Enterprise Supply Chain, and Corporate Finance Leadership.</li><li>Collaborating with Corporate Development, Integration &amp; Transition Management and Business Strategy to understand the scope and strategic impact to 3M for each contemplated transaction.</li><li>Estimating and analyzing stranded costs and impacts to corporate earnings per share.</li><li>Partnering with Controllers to ensure a successful transition of post-close deal accounting and purchase price schedules.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Your Skills and Expertise  </b><br />To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance (completed and verified prior to start)</li><li>Three (3) years of combined experience in accounting and/or finance in a private, public, government or military environment</li></ul><p></p><p>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:</p><ul><li>Experience providing finance business counsel in finance or financial due diligence department of a corporation, or investment banking.</li><li>Experience with project management and/or project leadership and/or</li><li>Experience with mergers and acquisition-related integrations</li><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification</li><li>MBA from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting or Economics</li><li>Experience using Alteryx to drive process improvement and automation</li></ul><p></p><div><p><span> </span></p></div><div><p><b><span>Work location: </span></b><span> </span></p></div><div><ul><li><b><span>Work location: This role<span> </span></span><span>follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.</span></b><span> </span></li></ul></div><div><p><b><span>Travel:<span> </span></span><span>May include up<span> </span></span><span>to<span> 10%</span></span></b><b><span>domestic/international</span></b></p></div><div><p><b><span>Relocation: Is not </span><span>authorized</span></b><span> </span></p></div><p></p><p><b><span>Must be legally authorized to work in<span> </span></span><span>country</span><span><span> </span>of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).</span></b><span> </span></p><p></p><div><p><b><span>Supporting Your Well-being </span></b><span> </span></p></div><div><p><span><span>3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
