Sierra West Airlines is seeking an experienced and motivated A&amp;P Lead Mechanic to support our operations in El Paso, Texas. This role primarily supports our SA227 Metroliner cargo and Lear 60 Passenger fleet. We are looking for a strong leader who can support day-to-day maintenance operations while helping mentor and guide the team in a fast-paced Part 135 environment.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">As a family-owned company with over 30 years in aviation, we value teamwork, reliability, and individuals who take pride in maintaining safe and efficient operations.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">SCHEDULE:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Day Shift, Monday–Friday</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Additional after-hours support and callouts as operationally required</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">JOB DUTIES:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Lead inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance activities on company aircraft</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to maintenance personnel</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Assist with coordinating maintenance priorities and operational needs</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, maintenance manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, company policies, and Federal Aviation Regulations</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Perform maintenance on ground support equipment as needed</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Support aircraft recovery activities as required</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as necessary</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Take after-hours calls to assist in resolving maintenance-related issues when on call</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Perform other duties as assigned</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe &amp; Powerplant ratings required</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Previous lead or supervisory maintenance experience required</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Minimum 5–7 years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• SA227 Metroliner or Learjet experience strongly preferred</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to efficiently return aircraft to service</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Ability to work various shifts, overtime, and occasional after-hours callouts as operationally required</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Ability to travel for aircraft recovery or operational support if needed</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and maneuver around aircraft</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Valid driver’s license required</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Passport and/or ability to obtain passport within 60 days of hire preferred</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and applicable background checks</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Ability to obtain airport/SIDA badge if required</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">BENEFITS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Health/Dental/Vision benefit options </span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• 401(k) with company match</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• PTO accrual for vacation and sick time</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Family-owned company with a team-oriented culture</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">• Ongoing training and professional growth opportunities</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Sierra West Airlines</span> i</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">s an equal opportunity employer.
