Description
Food & Paper Supply , an established food and paper distributor located in the south suburbs of Chicago (Alsip), is seeking a Customer Service Representative . The Customer Service Representative will interact with our customers by addressing inquiries and resolving problems in a positive, energetic manner. This person should have the ability to work well under pressure, independently and be a team player.
Responsibilities
I nteract with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services. Collect and enter orders for new or additional products or services. Fields customer questions and problems; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff. Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ issues and concerns. Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments. Technical Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Six months of experience in retail or customer service preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to effectively communicate in English. Why Join Us?
