PDG is seeking a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer for our Syracuse, NY office to add to our growing and talented team.</p><p><br></p><p>As a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for performing engineering evaluations and analyses, field inspections, design drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimation with minimal supervision. Your role will involve performing fire suppression system selection, preparing preliminary designs, and creating performance specifications.</p><p><br></p><p>The requirements for the Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer position include knowledge of NYS Plumbing codes and NFPA, proficiency in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to perform standard engineering analysis of plumbing and fire protection systems using the latest codes and technologies.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform engineering evaluations and analyses, field inspections, design drawings, technical specifications and cost estimation with minimal supervision.</li><li>Perform fire suppression system selection, preparing preliminary designs, and creating performance specifications</li><li>Perform fire suppression hydraulic calculations to support design and estimate construction costs and evaluate feasibility of construction</li><li>Assists upper level management and staff as a technical expert.</li></ul>",
