    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Assistant Teacher-Bus Monitor</span></p><p><br><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\"><strong>Summary Purpose for the Position:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Assist the classroom teacher in providing daily educational classroom activities, which meet the needs of the individual child and are in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards, licensing requirements, and corporate policies and procedures.</span> <span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Ensure the safe transportation of the children.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Requirements (Education, Experience, Certification, Knowledge, Skill):</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">High school/GED diploma. Preferred: at least one year of documented, relevant experience in child care and/or enrollment in early childhood education courses&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Parents of children enrolled in the MHS program who do not have a high school diploma and are actively working on a GED will be considered meeting the &ldquo;knowledge&rdquo; requirement of this position.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Bilingual preferred (English/language of majority of children in classroom).</span>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Must have current physical exam, mantoux tuberculosis screening and clearances.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\"><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Assist classroom teacher in maintaining a developmentally appropriate, safe, and healthy classroom environment for the age group of children to which they are assigned in accordance to the Head Start Performance Standards.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Maintain interaction with children throughout the day.</span>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Must demonstrate ability to read and comprehend the daily lesson plan and procedures and the daily application of these mandates.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Facilitate and implement individual child assessment procedures under the direction of the teacher.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Complete classroom reports, required forms, and documentation within mandated timelines .</span> <span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Assist in maintaining and updating children&rsquo;s records.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Notify supervisor immediately of any accidents/incidents relating to children, parents, or staff.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Attend all mandated trainings.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Assist classroom teacher with Home Visits and Parent Conferences as needed.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Implement School Readiness Plan.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Must develop an understanding of local, state, federal, and agency policies.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Adhere to established Work Plan and update as necessary or directed by Supervisor.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Adhere to PathStone&rsquo;s Confidentiality Policy.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Adhere to PathStone&rsquo;s Child Abuse and Neglect Policy.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Adhere to PathStone&rsquo;s Positive Discipline Policy.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Assist children with seat belts &amp; ensure that seat belts are fastened at all times when vehicle is in motion.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Manage bus environment (including rider communication) during transport, ensuring that bus rules are followed and that all children are seated with arms, legs, and heads inside windows.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Assist in the physical maintenance and care of center facility such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing and garbage disposal.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Perform other job related duties as required or assigned.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\"><strong>Working Conditions/Environment:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Must be able to work split shift and flexible hours. Must be able to travel into rural areas.</span> <span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);\">Must be able to work with cleaning products such as bleach and disinfectants.
