In addition, you will generate and implement ideas and solutions to ensure safety, reliability, improve quality, reduce cost, and comply with company policies.&nbsp;</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">The base wage or salary range for this position is $18 - $24 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Take full responsibility for projects as assigned</li><li>Test and evaluate various building construction products in the laboratory&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate with the project and department managers the test schedule with equipment schedule to optimize efficiency and client satisfaction</li><li>Prepare small and intermediate specimen and assist with client product installation&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare and submit accurate and concise reports on all projects assigned</li><li>Researching and implementing new test methods and procedures</li><li>Review and thoroughly understand contract requirements and document any deviations</li><li>Communicate with clients on test preparation, procedures, results, and reporting matters</li><li>Write test protocols when required and obtain approvals as necessary</li><li>Establish and price basic test plans for fire testing standardized methods</li></ul><p class=\"MsoNormal\">This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.&nbsp;</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Minimum Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED</li><li>Previous construction or product installation experience is preferred but an eagerness to learn, strong work ethic, and good work attitude are required</li><li>Knowledge of equipment and tools used in building construction</li><li>Proficient computer skills in addition to excellent written &amp; verbal communication skills</li><li>Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to coordinate and develop multiple projects at one time.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical standards and specifications</li><li>Ability to read and understand drawings and build accordingly.</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel based on the needs of the business (up to 15%), some occasional overnight</li><li>Ability to follow direction and work independently and in a team environment</li><li>Ability to bend down, climb ladders and reach over-head, lift, push and/or pull (infrequently) up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 40 feet</li><li>Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)</li></ul><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Intertek: Total Quality.
