Description

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) system engineering and information technology firm, headquartered in Maryland and Virginia. Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems. ACET is seeking an Electronics Maintenance Technician II in our Havelock, NC location. Responsibilities Individual will function as an Electronics Technician and member of the H-60 helicopter modification team's wiring harness shop. This individual will be responsible for the manufacture, test and troubleshooting of aircraft electrical wiring harnesses, basic electronic parts, components, products, or integrated circuitry for new and existing electronic equipment and other hardware systems and accomplishing day to day workload requirements in support of contract requirements. This individual will provide technical assistance and support to the team as it pertains to engineering changes made to the H-60 helicopter. This individual will also develop project specifications to assist in determining design approach and parameters to move product/system to manufacture or implementation, assist in developing and defining quality standards in accordance with company and contractual requirements, assist in developing qualification test procedures and conducts qualification testing, conduct testing and integration testing for functionality and limits, examine new electronic components and circuits and creates basic prototypes for beta testing and for customer demonstration. Candidate must have extensive training in maintenance testing and diagnostic routine designed for radio frequency and/or millimeter wave equipment and be able to perform tests and measurements of an electronic/electro-mechanical/computer nature, in accordance with military and commercial standards. Candidate must be able to troubleshoot related product malfunctions, modify, wire and fabricate devices related to work, as required. Candidate must have the ability to understand and perform work outlined by technical directives and electrical engineering drawings, be computer literate and function as a team member. Must be detail oriented with good time management skills. The Electronics Technician Maintenance II / III (based off experience), applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering; changes. Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years' experience in the aviation electrical field with previous wire fabrication/repair experience. Must be skilled/qualified in Naval Aircraft Maintenance, or equivalent Military/Civilian training. Must have experience with complex terminations and cable manufacturing principles. Previous experience with aviation component manufacture and repair. Possess a high degree of expertise of aircraft electrical wire repair and proper termination techniques. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications, and special tools and test equipment. Able to utilize blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers' drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned duties. Ability to perform troubleshooting and rewiring of complex wiring harness assemblies and components Must be familiar with acceptance and verification testing using multi-meter, milliohm meter, AC and DC power Supplies Able to complete maintenance documentation accurately using required forms, as required by job assignment. Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds. Must pass drug and fit for work physical as required. Must have high school diploma or GED Formal electronics training and five years of electrical wiring fabrication and electronics experience including naval helicopter systems.
