Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of orientation programs. Develops and implements staff development and continuing education programs.</p>\n<p>Job Responsibility</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>1.Assess learner characteristics including learning styles and learning needs for program development; creates an effective learning environment; demonstrates proficiency in use of technology; evaluates the outcomes of staff education.<br>\n 2.Functions in the roles of both teacher and facilitator; implements a variety of teaching strategies tailored to the learner's characteristics learning needs, cultural perspectives, and outcome objectives; plans nursing professional development programs that are culturally relevant and incorporate concepts of multicultural and multigenerational education; applies nursing and learning<br>\n theoretical and conceptual foundations as a basis for developing nursing professional development programs.<br>\n 3.Maintains visible clinical presence; adheres to regulatory body/agency standards; advocates for the nursing professional development programs that support the needs of the learner and the organization; anticipates and forecasts trends.<br>\n 4.Demonstrates sensitivity to ethical, cultural, and spiritual inclusion; engages in ethical decision-making; effectively facilitates group processes; follows regulatory requirements for health reporting.<br>\n 5.Functions as a change agent and leader; implements motivational strategies at individual, group, program, or organizational levels; maintains confidentiality of<br>\n sensitive information; uses outcome measurements and outcome evaluation methods.<br>\n 6.Promotes problem solving; interprets and uses research in practice; demonstrates knowledge of the research process; models the application of evidence based practice.<br>\n 7.Uses organizational strategic plan and goals to determine educational priorities; develops financial plan that allocates resources; plans and implements programs and projects using innovation and creativity; plans methodologies when implementing, facilitating and/or evaluation various programs and projects.<br>\n 8.Designs and implements evaluation plans for programs and projects; develops and implements a budget for programs and/or projects; accepts personal responsibility for own professional development; promotes participation in professional organizations for self and others.<br>\n 9.Demonstrates effective oral and written communication; uses effective interpersonal skills; fosters critical thinking; links nurses to professional development and other relevant resources.<br>\n 10.Performs related duties as required. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.</p>\n<p>Job Qualification</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree in nursing required.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required, plus specialized certifications as needed.</li>\n <li>4-7 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.</li>\n <li>Experience in EPIC preferred.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Experience in mentorship/collaboration with new graduate nurses preferred.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><strong>*Additional Salary Detail</strong>&nbsp;<br>\n The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
