Help us care for our residents by ensuring they have clean and sanitary linens and surroundings.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Elderwood at Williamsville the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor team member assists with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by being responsible for the staffing and operation of the Housekeeping/Laundry Department.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Keep facility environment in a sanitary, odor free, attractive and orderly condition and develops a Master </p></li>\n <li><p>Cleaning Schedule for daily, weekly, monthly and annual cleaning tasks.</p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens to meet the needs of residents and staff; oversee laundering of the personal clothing of residents.</p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Establish standards and work procedures for housekeeping and laundry staff in accordance with approved facility policies.</p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Plan work schedules and assign hours and area of work to housekeeping and laundry staff.</p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Interview, hire, evaluate and terminate employment of housekeeping and laundry personnel.</p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct training and orientation of new department employees and demonstrate the use of departmental supplies and equipment.</p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Supervise and inspect daily the cleaning areas of Housekeeping Aides and the laundry services performed by Laundry Aides.</p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure that infection control policies and procedures are followed by housekeeping/laundry staff.</p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Appraise the effectiveness of housekeeping and laundry supplies and equipment.</p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct departmental staff meetings and meet with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping and laundry services.</p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Plan or lead in-service programs for staff about housekeeping or laundry procedures.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>From</h2>\n<h2>Up to</h2>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Minimum 18 yrs. age required, HS diploma or equivalent preferred. </p></li>\n <li><p>Two years of experience in ousekeeping/laundry environment required. </p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to lead and manage employees necessary. </p></li>\n <li><p>Qualities of dependability, honesty, and discretion necessary. </p></li>\n <li><p>Working knowledge of infection control and safety measures required. </p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to maintain high standards of building cleanliness and orderliness, and care of linens and residents' clothing required.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
